Afghan Hash (1g)
Afghan hash (Hashish) is produced practically everywhere in and around Afghanistan – it is a tradition. The best kinds of Hash originate from the Northern provinces between the Hindu Kush and the Russian border. The plants which are used for Hash production are very small and bushy Indicas – it’ll typically be a short and stubby Kush. Afghanistan Hashish is pressed by hand under addition of a small quantity of tea or water. You should see how passionate the producers are. No shortcuts and no laziness. Decades of tradition are poured into making this. The Hashish is worked on until it becomes highly elastic and has a strong aromatic smell. Black on the outside, dark greenish or brown inside – it kind of looks like a delicious chocolate bar haha. The smell is incredibly spicy… oulala… but also very sweet. The effects are almost narcotic and produces a very physical and stony high. It’s absolutely incredible to add some to a joint or smoke a bit in the pipe.
When inhaled, this sticky rubbed hash fills your lungs with an earthy, resinous smoke and once exhaled leaves a soft and pleasant aftertaste. A perfect addition to a joint or on it’s own in a bowl. The high is light and talkative.
Hash has been used for thousands of years, ever since the first humans noticed the curious sticky by-product from the cannabis plant. Hash can be smoked, or used in cooking/edibles and often contains around 40% THC. For some cannabis lovers, the rich aromatic scent and taste make hash a unique treat. It’s easy to store, transport and enjoy. In the 1980’s hash would be exported from some of the main production areas (Nepal, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan) with a unique seal embossed on the block of hash, and it would be wrapped often in red or gold packaging prior to export.
